With a Smile

So on Saturday, I was invited by a friend to go to the Horse Races at Royal Randwick Racecourse.

I was talking it over with my flat-mate and she informed me of the dress code of the the Races, and she lent me a dress. Was pretty excited, but wasn’t sure about the getting to the races in the middle of the day all dressed up, not knowing what to expect I went to see where the day would take me. 

I got there and met up with my friend and chatted about the horses. Everyone was all dressed up, ladies in heels, fancy dresses, and shnazzy hats and boys in ties and jackets and everything. It was so cool to see so many people there and soon i realised why they were all there. 

I ended up liking one of the horses that was being paraded around (because he seemed like he was excited and pretty jumpy and ready to race… and his name was Kingdom of Fife…. how can that not be an awesome horse!). Put two bucks on him to win… and he did! Such a lucky bet! Gave me $200 that I didn’t have when I started that day!

All in all it was a ridiculously fun day that got super intense when all the horses were racing. Especially when those in the group put a large amount of money on the horses.. 

We also got to see the fastest horse in the world race. There were so many people out to watch Black Caviar it was amazing to see. A ridiculously talented horse and I am excited that I got to see it! So happy I ended up going and experiencing such an epic day with so many pretty horses and awesome people! :)
